Born in Coupar Angus, then moved to Inchture and then moved to Glasgow where he died in 1862. I can't find a death certificate on Scotland's People, although there is one there for his wife.
Original name was Elizabeth. Surname appears in parish records as Lowson, but later in William Mitchell's family record as Lawson.
She died in the fever hospital - at the time she was resident at 32 Great Dovehill in Glasgow.
IGI records show her birth in 1797 at Kettins - which doesn't tie up with the family record or census.
