Note: Surname is illegible on their son James's marriage certificate. There is a Margaret Doak married a John Young in Kilwinning on 5 Mar 1830. Seems like a probable link since there don't seem to be any other Margaret Doaks marrying John Youngs in the right timeframe, although there is a big gap between the birth of the first two children and James. There may be other children in between - or it may be the wrong marriage!

Spelling is Doack on James's birth entry, Deak on Martha's.

Possible Christening - Girvan 18 Dec 1814 - Robert Doack and Mary McCredie - probably unlikely since a Margaret Doack married James McCredie in 1835 in Ballantrae.
